Spam in other jurisdictions - the US CAN SPAM Act

Since 1 January 2004 the U.S. "CAN-SPAM" Act has regulated the sending of commercial e-mail. The act requires anyone sending certain e-mail messages to take certain steps or face penalties of up to $2 million.
